Headlines & First Screen
What makes a headline actually work?
It names a tension the reader already feels and promises a specific end to it. That's the whole job. Clever is optional and usually a tax on comprehension. If a stranger cannot tell what you do and who it's for from the headline alone, it isn't working no matter how good it sounds.
Next moves
- Lead with their problem or their outcome, never with your company name.
- Kill adjectives that any competitor could also claim.
- Test the squint test: at a glance, is the offer legible without reading?
Send me your first screen. I'll rewrite the hook on the call so you can hear the difference immediately.
