How do I track conversions properly?
Fire an event on the thing that actually matters, usually the form submission or booking confirmation, not a page view that happens to load. Then verify it by converting yourself and watching it land. Most broken tracking is broken quietly for months because nobody tested it once.
Next moves
- Track one primary conversion and the steps immediately before it.
- Watch session recordings for an hour. It's usually more useful than a month of charts.
- Write down what number would make you change the page. Then watch that one.
