Speed & Performance
How fast does my page need to load?
Fast enough that a mildly curious person on a phone doesn't reconsider. Aim for meaningful content on screen in a couple of seconds on a mid-range device and normal mobile data. Your laptop on office wifi is not the test, and it's why most slow pages feel fine to their owners.
Next moves
- Compress and correctly size every image. This is usually the whole problem.
- Audit third-party scripts and delete the ones nobody reads the data from.
- Measure on a mid-range phone, not your laptop on office wifi.
If the page is on a builder platform, bring that up on the call. Sometimes the platform is the ceiling.
