Will switching platforms make my page faster?
Sometimes, and it's the last resort rather than the first. Compress your images and cut unused scripts first, since that's usually most of the problem. If you've done that and the platform still ships bloat you can't remove, then the platform is genuinely your ceiling.
Next moves
- Compress and correctly size every image. This is usually the whole problem.
- Audit third-party scripts and delete the ones nobody reads the data from.
- Measure on a mid-range phone, not your laptop on office wifi.
If the page is on a builder platform, bring that up on the call. Sometimes the platform is the ceiling.
