Speed & Performance

What actually makes landing pages slow?

Images almost always, then third-party scripts. Uncompressed hero images and full-resolution photos scaled down in the browser are the usual culprits. After that it's tracking pixels, chat widgets, and fonts. Builder platforms add their own overhead you can't remove, which is sometimes the real ceiling.

Next moves

  1. Compress and correctly size every image. This is usually the whole problem.
  2. Audit third-party scripts and delete the ones nobody reads the data from.
  3. Measure on a mid-range phone, not your laptop on office wifi.

If the page is on a builder platform, bring that up on the call. Sometimes the platform is the ceiling.
