Showing Pricing
Should I show a range or an exact number?
A range works if you say what moves it. Starting at with no explanation reads as bait. Give the floor, name the variables that push it up, and people can self-select accurately. Vagueness protects nobody and mostly signals that the price depends on what they'll tolerate.
Next moves
- Show price, or show a range with what moves it. Silence reads as expensive and evasive.
- Anchor with three tiers and make the middle one obviously the default.
- Put the price next to what it includes, never on a lonely page of its own.
If you're unsure about publishing price, bring it up. It's usually a positioning question, not a pricing one.
